One-on-one by default
Private lessons are the core of what we do, and no recorded lecture stands in for teaching. Where a small group genuinely helps, such as past paper practice, we run separate classes of up to five.
Hash Scholars Academy pairs each student with a certified subject tutor for live, one-on-one lessons. Every session is taught on an interactive whiteboard, recorded for revision, and mapped to the exact syllabus your board examines.
Boards and tests we prepare students for
See every courseWe began with a simple observation about online tuition: most of it scales by putting more students in the room, which is precisely the thing that stops a student from asking the question they are embarrassed to ask. Our lessons stay private, so the tutor teaches the student in front of them rather than an average of thirty.
Tutors are recruited for their examining experience as much as their subject knowledge. They know how marks are awarded, where candidates routinely lose them, and how to rebuild a topic from the ground up when the foundation is shaky. You will get a written progress note after every session and a full plan before the exam series begins.
Know more about usEvery course runs against the current specification for your board or test, with past paper work from the first month rather than the last. Each one starts with a free 45-minute trial class.

Sessions are scheduled in your time zone. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead and the class goes back on your tuition balance, so travel and exam clashes do not cost you a lesson.
Teach the student, not the syllabus, and the grades follow.
Recordings go to the parent account and are deleted twelve months after a course ends unless you ask us to keep them.
Tutors working with under-18s hold current checks appropriate to their jurisdiction before they teach.
No tutor contacts a student outside the platform. Scheduling goes through the academy, not a personal number.
Plans, notes, reports and fee quotes are written down, so nothing important rests on a phone call.

Organic chemistry was a wall. Her tutor stopped teaching new content for two weeks and made her draw every mechanism from memory until the arrows stopped being decoration. She went from a 5 in the mock to a 7 in June.
Tom could do the maths and could not show it, so he was losing four or five method marks a paper. Six sessions on layout alone. Nothing else changed and the mock grade moved from a C to an A.
Every answer was right and half of them had the wrong unit attached. The tutor made him write the unit before the number for a month, which he hated. He got an A* and still complains about it.
Textbook-perfect essays capped at 12 out of 20 because they never reached a judgement. The tutor banned the phrase 'on the other hand' and made her decide. Twenty out of twenty-five by the third mock.
Stuck on 6.5 across three sittings. The speaking mock recording was brutal to listen to and it showed me exactly what I was doing in the pauses. Sat again eight weeks later and got 7.5.
We could teach English and history perfectly well. Chemistry defeated us. They also found us an exam centre that took private candidates, which we had been failing to do for four months.
